Born, bred in the north of England (Grimsby), venturing out only briefly for a couple of weeks a year, to the usual cluster of spanish holiday resorts.
That changed in 2003, when I was sent on a 6 month secondment to Malaysia and, you guessed it, I've been there ever since (quite some culture change, believe me!).
Rather than living the usual expat life in the capital, Kuala Lumpur, I live in a small town, in the South of the country, called Kluang (Malay for fruit bat, apparently), with a local population of around 200,000 and an expat poulation of 4! On the upside, this has given me a privelaged opportunity to get to know the true Malaysia and it's people (as you can see below!)
Have a passion for photography and diving (which is were I found my other passion, my wife, who is local Chinese) and most importantly in this country, food, which almost everything seems to revolve around.
Hey there, like my blog, want to purchase my photos, want the low-down on living Malaysia, want to know the best dive sites, or just want to say hi, then leave me a message below.
